At the beginning of June 2017, for the tenth consecutive year, Kresna Municipality will become a kind host of the Children's Folklore Festival "Veseliache". The jubilee edition will take place on 3 (Saturday) and 4 (Sunday) June 2017 in Kresna and will offer for the first time a number of additional opportunities for creative expression and entertainment for the participants from Bulgaria, guests from Serbia, Greece and Macedonia, and Their peers and friends from the municipality of Kresna.
Undoubtedly, the biggest surprise is the participation of the superstar of the Bulgarian stage Orlin Goranov, who welcomed the invitation of the organizers and will be the honorary chairman of the professional jury. "With unprecedented excitement I expect the meeting with the young talents of the festival and hope that our meeting will become the beginning of a lasting friendship," Orlin said while signing the "Veselyache" poster in 2017. Of course, the presidency will not prevent him to give an autograph or to make "selfies" with each of the participants and guests of the event.
This year the organizers from Kresna Municipality and the Cultural Club 1932 have learned from their experience and along with the young talents' performances on stage they will offer the participants a whole bunch of additional entertainment. Rafting demonstrations are organized for the children. Visits to the St. Ivan Rilski monument in Kresna and of course many other attractions for children. On the first day of the festival, the participants will be able to compete or just leave their mark by painting on asphalt and / or meeting with the famous researcher and patriot of Kresna Mr.Boris Sandanski.
The culmination of the children's feast will be the second day's award, when the winners will be able to leave their signatures on a specially mounted plate in the newly-created Festival Hall of Kresna and plant a tree - a symbol of their friendship.
The mayor of Kresna Municipality - Mr. Nikolay Georgiev, makes a special invitation to all lovers of authentic folklore from Blagoevgrad region and all over Bulgaria to visit Kresna during the festival days to support young talent presence and to enjoy the unique beauty of the Bulgarian costumes, the magic of the children's voices and the exceptional performances of the dance ensembles.
On June 3 and 4, 2017 Kresna will offer you a unique experience combining true patriotism and a sense of Bulgarian folk celebrations, folk traditions and customs.
